I spent 60 hours or so in Halo Infinite multiplayer at launch and had a great time. It’s not rare for a game’s player count to fall over time, but that’s a big drop, especially for a major release like a new Halo game. The Steam player count, at least judging by Steam Charts, has dropped dramatically from a concurrent peak of 256,619 in November to a high of 10,350 within the last 30 days. But how long will it be before players get tired of those and move on to something else? Quality-of-life improvements will be patched throughout the season. A campaign mission replay option should be added in late August as well. Two limited-time narrative events are on the docket, as well as a new battle pass and quality of life improvements. Three game modes will be added: King of the Hill, Land Grab and Last Spartan Standing. That could mean there’s another long stretch between new maps and permanent game modes being added.Īs things stand, season 2 will introduce a new Arena map (Catalyst) and another Big Team Battle map (Breaker). I say “sort of ahead of schedule” because season 2 is currently planned to run until November 8, meaning players are about to go through another six-month-long season. ![]() ![]() Forge will persist from the open beta onwards, evolving and growing over time.” “With this approach, we can get the core Forge tools out to everyone quicker while also remaining focused on our core priority of continuing to improve foundational aspects of Halo Infinite. “We’ve successfully had Forge in private flighting with a limited audience for some time, so we’ve decided to forgo a large-scale formal flighting program and go right to open beta,” Halo Infinite head of creative Joseph Staten wrote in a blog post. That will be an open beta for Forge and not the final product, but at least it’s arriving sort of ahead of schedule. For Forge mode, which was supposed to arrive alongside season 3, 343 has a target release date of September. There is one mild bright spot in all of this. ![]() Paired with any of Elgato's Stream Decks, the Key Light Air just gets better exponentially. If you happen already own any of Elgato's Stream Decks and are in need of new lighting, then I couldn't recommend the Key Light Air more. This gives the Key Light Air an advantage over traditional lighting setups, which might have restrictive lighting control. Since the Key Light Air's settings can be tweaked via your PC or phone, it will be great for every gamer's set up. My reasoning behind this can be boiled down to one word, versatility. It might be a bit pricey at first glance, but for the features it gives you, it's more than worth it. If you are a streamer and are considering getting into the streaming game for the long haul, I would definitely recommend the Key Light Air as a long term investment. So how good is the Elgato Key Light Air? Well, for its price of $129.99, buyers will be getting an easy to set up light that has much more control and features than a cheap light. Since every user's set up is different, and each user has a different camera, you will need to tweak the settings of the light to best fit your situation.įor my set up and my camera, I put the Key Light Air at around 30-40% brightness (depending on the time of day) and kept the temperature at 7000K. From here, you can change the temperature of the light, which slightly alters the color, as well as change the overall intensity. Once the Key Light is connected, you should see the above image. Let's run through a basic set up for the software side of things for the Key Light Air. Streamers who pick up the Elgato Key Light Air will be able to download the Elgato Control Center, which allows them to control the brightness and color of Key Light Air from their PC or mobile. Not only is the design side of the Elgato Key Light really well done, but so is the software that comes with it. I'd like to see Elgato extend the power cord in future Key Light products, as I think doing this would mean the light would become more versatile for more user setups. While this might sound like a small problem, I know that some streamers have standing desks, and not having a power board on your desk might mean that they won't be able to use the Key Light Air without getting an extension cord. ![]() The power cord for the Key Light Air is only a 195cm long, and since I have a standing desk with my power board located on the floor, it makes it impossible for me to have my Key Light Air on the desk while I'm in the standing position. Overall, I'm very, very impressed by the Key Light Air assembly, and Elgato should be proud of what they have done here.Īs for improvements on the design side of things, I have used the Key Light Air for around twenty hours or so, and I can think of some things I'd like changed or added to. All of the parts that are required for assembly feel high quality and slide right into place without any hassle. Honestly, assembly for the Key Light Air takes less than fifteen minutes, and this is thanks to Elgato's step-by-step guide. ![]() Assembly wise, Elgato has really made things as simple as possible for users. ![]() All of these benefits will ultimately lead to weight loss as you are able to walk with more endurance and greater incline," adds Best. Be sure to stretch your calves and Achilles after hill workouts. Find a decently steep hill and sprint up it as fast as you can at least five times. Hill workouts can also help improve proper running posture. Hill Workouts: Running hills have a very similar reaction to the body as track workouts. Be sure to do a complete warm-up and cool-down on track workout days. Speed workouts on a track can also activate different energy systems in your body, which help it tap into fat-burning mode far more efficiently. Track Workouts: Taking your workouts to a track can help with leg turnover and overall speed. You need to fuel before, during and after your long runs, so. Some examples of fartlek workouts include: 15 second pickup at every minute for five minutes, or run two minutes at a faster pace followed by 10 minutes of an easy recovery pace. Your best bet is to chip away at weight loss by eating about 300 to 500 calories less at night. Over time, your body is better prepared to handle variations or changes in intensity during a run (ie., going up an unexpected steep hill during a race). It basically serves to shock your system so it cannot adapt. A fartlek is a change of pace and duration of intensity throughout a run. Fartlek Runs: Literally meaning "speed play" in Swedish, fartleks are common in the running community. Try to do five sets of 10 to 15 second strides. ![]() These are pickups when you are finished with your workout, and they are to be done at a faster pace-though not all out-while focusing on really good form. Strides After Runs: Aim to add strides two to three times a week. This is a crucial element of long distance training-and it will aid in your weight loss. If you’re running too slowly, then you won’t see the greatest benefits from the workout. ![]() Your lactic threshold relates to the burning muscle sensation you get during intense runs. Your lactate threshold measures the pace that lactic acid will accumulate in your muscles, causing the start of muscle failure. They are often referred to as “comfortably fast.” Tempo runs are used to help lactic acid slowly build up in your bloodstream in order for your body to learn how to deal with it. Here are some other running workouts to help with weight loss as a runner:- Tempo Runs: In the simplest of terms, tempo runs involve faster paces than your normal pace. Throw a one-minute pickup (speed up the pace) at every five-minute mark. Rather than doing every run at the same pace, try to change it up a bit. Not at all! A simple thing to add to your running regimen is training at different paces. Wait, so you're telling me in order to lose weight, I must stop training, then start again after some time off? That's because your body has lost its adaptability to running-but in the meantime, it's burning far more calories to get back to your pre-break fitness level. After only a few minutes of running, you may have been surprised to find yourself breathless and working really hard to get going. Think back to a time when you started training again after a long break. To compound the problem, when it comes to weight loss, your body also adapts to burning fuel in the form of calories. For example, when you initially begin training, running two to three miles may be a challenge, but over time your body gets used to the change of heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and stress. This is because when you start exercising, your body starts looking for ways to adapt. In order to up the calorie burn, you must commit to upping your pace. ![]() For those of you out there looking to drop a few unwanted pounds through running, there are five key points to keep in mind.
