It is “politically correct” in these times to pray to “God” as long as it is not specifically to the Christian God. Scripture tells us that, “…there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent” (Luke 15:7b).Ĭhristians need to take Hebrews 11:6 seriously, because our God did create the heavens and the earth, and He did send His Son, and He will give everlasting life to those who are saved. That is not to say that God is not pleased when an unbeliever starts to seek God and his faith is building. ![]() God cannot help and bless the person the way He would like to, and the person will not be able to love God and work for Him as he should. If after all He has done, someone still does not trust that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him, then God is not pleased with that person. He is constantly loving and helping people, and even sent His only begotten Son to be tortured and killed for us. No one has given more, loved more, or done more for people than God. Have you ever had someone distrust you? Have you ever had someone you had helped again and again distrust you? That is a very painful experience. ![]() If we could please God without faith, we could please God without trusting Him. To understand this verse we first have to understand that faith is “trust.” Once we understand that, we can understand why it is impossible to please God without faith. The book of Hebrews contains a verse that each Christian should pay close attention to.Īnd without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Doing our part and trusting in God is the key to opening the “windows” of heaven
